Dana Stilley is a Democrat running for District 17.
A life-long resident of Rockland County, Dana Stilley, PhD, attended South Orangetown from kindergarten through graduation from Tappan Zee High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Brown University, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Management Science from Columbia University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Community College Leadership from Old Dominion University.
Dr. Stilley possesses years of professional experience in the financial industry, education administration and teaching. She continually devotes her time and talents to advocating and advancing the lives of others through her public service efforts.
She is an experienced policymaker and budget developer having served as Vice President of Student Services at Rockland Community College, as a board member of Head Start of Rockland, and in her current roles as the President of the Board of Education of South Orangetown Central School District, and the Rockland Negro Scholarship Fund.
A proven leader and change maker, Dr. Stilley is ready to collaborate with committee leaders and local constituents to ensure that the future of Rockland is bright. Her vision, energy and expertise will advance a proactive response to challenges such as quality, safe affordable housing, access to social services, and the opioid crisis.
